Looking to get rid of some unwanted items? Organizing a group project around collecting donations? Check out our Wish List to see what the shelter currently needs. You can also help stock the shelter supply shelves anytime you are shopping at Festival Foods simply by picking up a "Paw Away Hunger" bag when you head to the check-out!
Although our Wish List does include the supplies needed every day at the shelter like food and cleaning, please remember that all cash donations truly benefit the animals as well. If you are thinking of donating and deciding whether to shop for supplies or simply write a check, please consider this: for an 8-pound bag of dry food at a local discount store costing $11.00 - that same $11.00 donated to BAHS helps us purchase over 30 pounds of the exact brand and style we need, when we need it, through our bulk purchasing program. We work very hard to make sure your gifts stretch as far as we can make them stretch!

"Every Paw Has Its Day"
Every day, the Bay Area Humane Society deals with challenges that may bring tears, but most often bring hope, and eventually even smiles. If an animal finds its way to our shelter, we can - and will - do everything possible to find it a loving, forever home. Every day we see the faces of the homeless and neglected animals that have been brought to our shelter. We want them to know we are here for them to provide food, shelter, medical attention and a second chance. That's where your dollars come in to help us accomplish these goals through this Crowdfunding campaign. (Crowdfunding is a way of raising finances by asking a large number of people for a donation for any amount of money from small amounts to large amounts. Crowdfunding uses the internet/facebook to talk to thousands – if not millions – of potential funders. People invest simply because they believe in the cause.)

Do you wish you could help a homeless pet by giving it a good home, but right now adopting a new pet is just not possible? Or are you looking for the perfect gift for a friend or loved one who loves animals? We have a new program that will work for you! Our Sponsor-A-Pet Program. Your generous donation will go towards the adoption fee of the animal you choose, so whoever is lucky enough to adopt them gets that much off the adoption fee. You choose which animal you would like to sponsor by viewing our current residents on our website or you can let us choose an animal for you.

Become a GEM
Give Every Month through our automatic deduction program - it's convenient for you and critical for the pets in need! Click here to sign-up today using a credit or debit card through our secure on-line form. Or you can click here to download a brochure and mail your information. Your first gift will be deducted immediately and future deductions will happen automatically on the 4th of each month. You can change your deduction at any time.

Join us at fundraising events such as the Bark of the Bay, PetWalk or BrewFest! Each event also offers corporate sponsorship opportunities.
Third Party Event
A third-party fundraising event is any activity by a non-affiliated group or individual where the Bay Area Humane Society has no monetary responsibility and little or no staff involvement. There are too many ideas to list them here, but we’re happy to help you get started. If you have an idea or plan for an event that will benefit the Humane Society, please contact Jan Niec at 469-3110, Ext. 111 or firstname.lastname@example.org for a contract and guidelines.
United Way / Combined Federal Campaigns
If you contribute through your workplace United Way or CFC program, you can designate all or part of your gift to any 501(c)(3) tax exempt agency of your choice, whether that agency is a participant or not. Simply designate "Bay Area Humane Society" FEIN 39-0988577

Matching Gift Programs
Did you know that many employers sponsor matching gift programs that match employee charitable contributions? Most employers simply require you to initiate a paper or on-line form - ask at work! It's a great way to make your gifts go twice as far.
Donate a Vehicle
The Bay Area Humane Society works with "Vehicles for Charity" to accept, process and sell donated vehicles. To donate a vehicle to the Bay Area Humane Society, call Vehicles for Charity at 866-628-2277.
