Thank you for your interest in the humane education program at the Bay Area Humane Society. Through our efforts, we are working to reduce animal cruelty, overpopulation, and provide the best possible care for the animals within our community.
Children for Humane Animal Treatment (C.H.A.T.)
Beginning in the fall of 2011, the Bay Area Humane Society will be offering an after school program for youth to get involved with the animals at the shelter and become advocates for their furry friends. Children for Humane Animal Treatment (C.H.A.T.) is an educational club that the Bay Area Humane Society is offering for youth ages 8-12. The club meets twice a month and teaches youth lessons about responsible pet ownership and how to provide the best possible care and future for companion animals. C.H.A.T. Club Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
