Pet Walk is a 3-mile scenic walk held on the shelter grounds and through the Wildlife Sanctuary. Help us celebrate 50 years and raise funds needed to continue serving animals and people for years to come!

All entries must be in color, horizontal layout, no bigger than a 4 by 6-inch photograph and contain ONLY animals. We also accept digital photos, but require well-focused sharp images that are 200 dpi (dots per inch) or larger and in JPEG(JPG) or TIFF format. Enter digital photos via email at contest@bayareahumanesociety.com Unfortunately, we cannot accept Polaroid photos or copyrighted-professional photographs. We cannot return your photos. For clarity and quality photo reproduction, please do not stamp or write on the back of photos. All entries that meet these requirements and are postmarked by September 1, 2008 will be included in the 2009 Calendar. Winners will be notified by phone or mail, and the calendar will be available in December 2008.

There is a $25.00 fee for each photo entered in the contest. All entries will be blind-judged by the Bay Area Humane Society staff, with the top 12 photos featured as "Pets of the Month". Runners-up will be included in smaller photos within the calendar portion of each month's page. All other photos will be included in the calendar as part of the "Best Friends Collage." Best of all, by entering the "Make Your Pet a Pin-up" contest, you will automatically receive a free 2009 calendar by mail.
