WHY DONATE?

George Bernard Shaw made the statement, “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.” As humans, most of us have never fully mastered how to keep lightheartedness, love and happiness in our life. The pressures of everyday life and work often distract us from the things in life that are true and genuine.

Amazingly, pets have all this stuff figured out. Designed with feelings and emotions like humans, the only difference is they remain innocent. Their love is pure and unconditional and their needs are completely fulfilled with the slightest amount of love and attention offered by a human. They focus on the present, forget the past and don’t obsess about the future.

Often unable to take care of their own needs, they require the conscience of a humane society to recognize those needs and protect them. Without doubt the world is a better place because of a dog or cat who has loved a human. The loyalty they offer is unsurpassed. Faithful companions, loving friends and model citizens, there is no question there is an imprint left by each animal.

If you are lucky enough in life to have a pet in your family, you know the gift of unconditional love. We could all strive to be that great person our dog thinks we are by the greeting we receive the moment we come home. We can all treasure the love shared in that moment when your cat stretches in your lap and lets you into their world.
We can also take it one step further.

Everyone can help by donating time and/or money to help the Bay Area Humane Society make the Green Bay area a safe and playful place by providing homes to less fortunate animals. No matter the size of the amount, whatever you are able to give goes to feed and house nearly 6,000 animals each year.

No pet is ever turned away at Bay Area Humane Society. Many have been abandoned or neglected and are in need of love and care until they can find a home. These innocent animals are in need of a society that cares enough about their future to allow them to enjoy their present.

Please make a financial donation today and help the Green Bay area become a better place for animals. It just may make it a better place for humans as well.
